Program Theme: “AI Explorers: Innovate with Intelligence”
Role Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and tech-savvy volunteer to lead our AI Explorers Fall/Spring Class! As the AI Class Facilitator, you will introduce youth to the exciting world of artificial intelligence through interactive lessons, hands-on activities, and engaging discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach weekly AI-focused sessions based on a pre-designed 9-week curriculum
Guide students through activities involving machine learning, image recognition, data sorting, and ethical discussions
Use platforms like Google Teachable Machine and Scratch for simple coding exercises
Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork
Collaborate with staff to ensure student engagement and learning
Foster a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment
Ideal Candidate:
Has a background or strong interest in STEM, computer science, or educational technology
Comfortable teaching or facilitating in front of a group of students
Patient, energetic, and enthusiastic about youth development
Experience with or willingness to learn tools like Scratch, AI-based games, or simple coding platforms
Committed to Purpose Learning Lab’s mission of empowering youth through STEAM and leadership
