Who We Are
The Friends of the Wake County Guardian ad Litem Program is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit founded in 1991 to change the lives of abused and neglected children by supporting the work of Guardians ad Litem who volunteer as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for foster children.
What We Do
We accomplish our work by providing enrichment opportunity funds and needed items for impoverished children including ones in foster care, out-of-home kinship placements, families working hard to break the cycle of poverty and youth who have aged out of foster care.
We have a volunteer tutoring program providing one-on-one virtual tutoring sessions for children in the foster care system. The sessions are held once each week, for an hour in length.
