Who We Are
Hope Animal Rescue’s mission is to protect and find good homes for abandoned or neglected companion animals. We advocate for dogs and their welfare while cultivating outreach initiatives to further the bond between people and their pets.
Hope Animal Rescue’s vision is to create a community where 100% of adoptable dogs find loving homes. We aspire to become a community where no pet dies due to overpopulation in shelters and rescues.
We are an all-volunteer run organization. We were founded in 2013 by Cathy and Ashley, a mother-daughter duo. Since then, we’ve grown tremendously and we have foster dogs in homes across the Triangle region.
What We Do
Hope Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs in North Carolina. We promote the compassionate and humane treatment of all animals while focusing our efforts on homeless and at-risk pets.

Donate
Your support directly determines how many lives we can save each month. Consider donating online, mailing a check, or donating an item from our wish list.
Foster
Having foster homes available directly impacts the number of lives Hope can save each day. Fill out a foster application to open your home and your heart to a homeless dog.
Volunteer
Hope relies on a dedicated volunteer force to implement our mission and endorse the dogs in our care. Sign up to volunteer today!
Adopt
When you adopt a pet, you save not one, but two lives – the life of the animal you bring into your home, and the life of an animal still waiting for a kennel to open up at a local shelter. Check out our adoptable dogs online to meet the newest member of your family.
