Who We Are

Eyes Ears Nose and Paws (EENP) partners people with dogs to improve lives.

We believe learning and service happen at both ends of the leash, so we started a partnership with the correctional system where we teach incarcerated men to train assistance dogs that we partner with people who have disabilities.

What We Do

Our training and placement program for assistance dogs is a triple win: our dogs get full-time attention, training, and love; the incarcerated trainers develop interpersonal, leadership, and job skills while giving back to the community from inside prison; and our clients receive life changing support for their disabilities in the form of a highly trained canine partner.

Our mobility service dog program trains and partners dogs with individuals with mobility impairments. These dogs are trained to assist with a wide variety of daily tasks, including retrieving items, opening doors, operating buttons and switches, and helping prevent and recover from falls.

The medical alert dog program provides dogs which are trained to detect and alert their human companions to changes in medical condition, to retrieve medical kits, and to seek outside assistance if necessary. Most of EENP’s medical alert dogs assist with management of diabetes, epilepsy, or postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS).
