Who We Are
Through childhood and a life long journey in sports, Reggie Reese, Ed Richardson and Fred Evans became the founders of the Bull City Athletic Association (BCCA). They have taken the opportunity to teach, coach and give back to the youth of our community providing the necessary skills and development that they have possessed during their youth and journey to adulthood.
The BCAA program founders have a motive to promote youth activities in a positive and wholesome environment where children acquire lifelong skills. The sports and recreation programs will instill confidence, discipline and self-esteem within the players. They can use these skills to conduct themselves as the shining stars they are when they are out in community. The goal is to help make a difference with these kids through many outreach programs designed to build these youth into positive role models and leaders in society.
In turn, these young Bulldogs will become better citizens and deter them from gangs, violence, drugs and crime that have consistently shown itself in our community. The founders, the people who have come on board as coaches and community helpers makes sure to always give life lessons that will strengthen coping skills and allow them to effectively make an impact not only in their own homes but also within the community whether they are on or off of the field.
What We Do
The Bull City Athletic Association (BCAA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership skills and empowerment in young boys & girls ages 6 to 14 years old through the fundamentals of basketball, football & cheerleading. The BCAA Mentor program instills mutual respect, trust, self-confidence, accountability through fair play and community service. As a volunteer organization, BCAA has an equal opportunity framework, committed to challenging each child through motivation and self-discipline regardless of race, religion or philosophy. As a community organization that recognizes the necessity for and of recreational outdoor activity to childhood development, BCAA strives to put children first. Many of our youth come from homes that do not have the means to purchase necessary items like uniforms, equipment or pay program fees. We want to partner with organizations like you that agree with and support our dedication to childhood development through sports and community service.
