The Biographer is a very important job within our Center. The more information that we can supply to an adopter about our animals’ personalities, the more adopters will be drawn to our Center and adopt. This will help us save more lives! The Biographers interact with the animals themselves, or uses information provided from other volunteers, and writes an animal profile that potential adopters will read on our website, PetFinder, or Facebook. Each animal is an individual and, by sharing and celebrating their unique traits and personal stories, Biographers help adopters identify and connect with them. This role/assignment is also one of the few that can be done from home (provided you've already interacted with the animal or gathered information from other volunteers).
