Description

Volunteers on the Dog Walking Team take eligible dogs on long walks, play ball with them in the play yard, and engage in other physical activity. Exercise is very important, as stress creates energy that must be given an outlet. This position helps dogs feel less stress, which can lead to them being happier, healthier, better mannered, and (ultimately) more adoptable. Dog Walkers are essential to our program and we are always looking for new volunteers to join the team!

If you are interested in joining our Volunteer Program, here are the requirements:

  •  You must meet the necessary Essential Capabilities to safely volunteer.
  • You must be over the age of 18. Eighteen is the minimum age to volunteer with us, and there are no exceptions to this rule.
  • You must commit to at least six hours per month, for at least six months. We cannot accommodate single-day or short-term volunteerism.

Additional information regarding our Volunteer Program can be found here - Volunteer Program Information.
