Description

What You’ll Do as a Volunteer

As a SwingPals volunteer, you will support students to develop their mindfulness and stress reduction skills. Skills children need to enjoy the present in the moment and make purposeful, intentional choices to access their potential. As a coach you guide students through the process of THINKING to DOING!

While most volunteering revolves around "swinging a golf club", no golf background or interest is needed, just a passion for young people and making a big impact in your community! The primary role of the volunteers is to create a safe space for the students enabling them to let go of control, explore their potential, and enjoy their "game".

Why You Should Volunteer With Us

Becoming a volunteer with SwingPals is about mentorship, empowerment, and creating meaningful connections. The SwingPals program helps students develop confidence, resilience, and mindfulness. Golf is the vehicle for this change and your role as a volunteer is essential to that journey. If you're ready to start your SwingPals journey and begin building a brighter future for young people in the Durham community, we need you on the team. Your support and coaching will make a huge difference in the lives of these students.

Looking for a volunteer opportunity outside of golf, please inquire. We always have the need for support in mindfulness training, program support, and other areas in the SwingPals organization.
