Join Keep Durham Beautiful and Extra Terrestrial Projects in preparing Prairie Island for the summer! We will be removing invasive weeds from the prairie to make room for the native plants there which support over 100 species of pollinators. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.
Choose from the following dates and times to join a workday:
Thursday, April 18th from 9:30AM to 11:30AM
Monday, April 22nd from 9:30AM to 11:30AM
Directions: Prairie Island is just south of Morehead and Blackwell Street in Durham, at the entrance to the American Tobacco Trail. Parking is available along Blackwell St.
Please wear closed-toed shoes and long pants. No shorts or sandals!
